I’ve worked with Mike/DJ Axcess through DJ coaching and mentorship. He has been the most fantastic mentor one could ask for, he has immense amounts of knowledge and experience in the DJ world. And has the answer to just about any question you have. He keeps a document with all of your training material, and the things you worked on, along with a full video to play back. This allows you to take what he teaches, go home and continue to practice. I couldn’t recommend DJ Axcess more whether it’s for your wedding or for coaching. He’s one of if not THE best DJ in Columbus OH, and I’m proud to be able to learn from him! Check him out for all of your DJ needs.
DJ Axcess was hands down one of the best investments we made for our wedding. From the start of the night to the very last song, he just got it. He knew exactly how to interact with our guests and had such a good feel for when to switch the music to get even more people out on the dance floor. The energy was nonstop. He surprised everyone by bringing out drums near the end—it was such a fun and unexpected touch that made the night feel unforgettable. We’ve been to well over 15–20 weddings together, and DJ Axcess was by far the best DJ we’ve ever experienced. He didn’t just play music, he created an atmosphere and a memory we’ll never forget. Our guests even said so too. We also asked him if he knew any saxophone players that would work with him, and he knew exactly who to hire and they were AMAZING entertainers. 100000/10
After interviewing nine DJs, we knew from our first video meeting that DJ AXCESS was the perfect choice for our wedding. He was exceptionally professional, taking the time to connect with us both and ask insightful questions that demonstrated his commitment to creating our ideal atmosphere. His structured planning, with meetings at six, three, and one month out, gave us complete confidence and made the entire process stress-free. On the day of the wedding, his professionalism was outstanding. He coordinated flawlessly with our other vendors, ensuring key moments were captured perfectly by the photographer. As an MC, he was a master of his craft—delivering all important announcements with clarity and personality, without being overbearing or adding unnecessary fluff. He was also flexible and quick to adjust when needed, making sure everything ran seamlessly. Okay down to the most important part: The dance floor was PACKED all night, with the music perfectly capturing the desired vibe. Every song was a hit, and the crowd was loving it. I was having so much fun I didn't even want to leave the dance floor to change shoes. He rarely used full songs, so we got through a lot of variety and his smooth, professional transitions kept the energy high. Quick adjustments were made when needed to keep the crowd engaged. He hit it spot on, no notes. DJ AXCESS went above and beyond, even capturing a memorable video after the videographer had left and sharing it with us. He truly made the wedding the best party ever, I cannot recommend him enough!
When my fiancé and I got engaged the first thing we talked about as our biggest priority was having a great DJ, and DJ Axcess exceeded all of our expectations. He was extremely professional and organized throughout the planning process, and he really took the time to get to know my fiance and I. He had been referred to us by several other people in the wedding industry so we were confident he would be a great DJ, but I didn’t expect how amazing he would be as an MC. He kept the energy so high, kept all of our guests and vendors on the same page and made our whole night feel very personal! He then went on to absolutely crush the music, and we heard so much feedback from our guests about how great he was! We had several guests tell us that they didn’t eat dessert because they didn’t want to leave the dance floor! We told him we wanted a mix of pop punk, early 2000s, classics, and EDM and he perfectly delivered our vision. We would recommend Mike to absolutely anyone hosting an event!
Book DJ Mike!!! I highly recommend going with DJ Mike for your wedding for many reasons. First, he was the best wedding vendor we worked with by far! He was professional, personable, and helped guide us through the whole process. He brought up things that we never would have thought of and always remembered what we previously discussed. Like for real, my husband and I would always talk about how we wish every wedding vendor was like Mike. We had total trust that he would do a great job and he surely did!! Our reception was so fun and we had people on the dance floor at all times, thanks to him! He even had an amazing picture of us that he took from right after we walked down the aisle displayed on his DJ booth at the reception which was a huge hit!! Also, his MC skills are amazing - he had great energy, engaged our guests, and seamlessly guided us through our night without us having to give it any thoughts! We also had his saxophonist, Justin, play and I couldn't recommend him enough either! They both were incredible and I am truly beyond grateful we had them at our wedding.
If we could give DJ AXCESS more than five stars, we would! HANDS DOWN, hiring him to be the DJ for our wedding was the BEST decision we made!! The dance floor was PACKED all night with all generations of people dancing throughout the night! The energy on the dance floor was 11/10 all night! Wedding aside, I think hiring DJ AXCESS was the best money we ever spent on anything. Multiple people came up to us telling us that it is the best wedding music they have experienced, and the vendors said they haven’t seen a crowd party that much in a while. His ability to read the energy of the crowd was incredible, and his talent of mixing songs together is insane! The whole planning process with DJ AXCESS was incredibly smooth, and he truly was one of the most organized vendors we worked with! From the first meeting with him to the actual big day, everything went so smoothly! He truly got to know us personally throughout each of the meetings and executed our vision perfectly! His MCing is also amazing! Everything he said at our wedding felt so personal and special! He went above and beyond as a DJ, putting a picture of us kissing at the ceremony on his DJ booth, taking pictures of us at our last dance, and surprising us with a live saxophone! DJ AXCESS is several steps above any other DJ! If you don’t hire him for your wedding, you are truly missing out! My husband and I are trying to find any excuse to throw another party just so we can hire him again!
We couldn’t be any happier with DJ Axcess (Mike). He absolutely killed it on our wedding day. From our first interaction, we knew DJ Axcess understood exactly what type of vibe we were wanted on our special day and he delivered exactly that but 100x better. The music and the vibes he brought were so much better than we could have ever imagined. He was professional, organized, and had great communication leading up to the big day. Mike, aka DJ Axcess, is obviously a fantastic DJ. I have already written a review on him in regards to his ability to be a diverse wedding DJ that can play anything you could ever want ranging from house, to pop, to rap and I’m guessing he can even mix country music in there. With all this being said, where Mike shines is his ability to be available, a coach, and a friend. As a lover of music, I bought a DJ board to play with in my free time, strictly as a hobby. I was unsure where to begin and YouTube videos and playing around with the board was just not cutting it. Sometimes you need someone sitting next to you to help coach you. I reached out to Mike and he sat down with me during multiple sessions coaching me through the very basics, and helping me enhance my skills. From simple beat matching, to mixing in phrase, to figuring out how to put a set together, and some enhanced technical drills, Mike worked patiently with me for hours to work through different sounds. With that being said, I played my first time last weekend in front of roughly 50 people for a sunset series. He instilled in me the confidence I needed to play in front of people. Now I have multiple gigs lined up even after people heard me play. I would recommend Mike as “coach” or “dj instructor” to anyone. He’s easy to work with, you can see his passion, and he is now a friend. He encourages a fun environment and everyone should trust that they are in good hands with DJ axcess
I have been working with DJ Axcess to improve my MC skills for weddings, and the growth has been incredible. Each week, we meet for one hour and go through vocal warm-ups, script delivery, and ways to give the best MC experience possible for guests. He goes above and beyond, always asking me to upload a video from my last event so we can review what worked, what needs improvement, and how to keep leveling up. What really sets him apart is that he leads by example. He shares real videos of himself doing exactly what he teaches, giving me a clear vision of what is possible with consistency and focused practice. On top of that, he is just a super humble and genuine person. He truly cares about helping you grow, and it shows in every session. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better DJ for our wedding! From the very first meeting to the last song of the night, he absolutely killed it. Every single song, transition, and detail was spot on—he had the dance floor packed all night long and honestly, we could’ve kept it going for hours! He took the time to meet with us multiple times before the big day to make sure everything was perfect and he handled all of our special requests with care and enthusiasm. We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mike—DJ Axcess—who truly made my daughter’s wedding unforgettable. From start to finish, he was incredibly professional, talented, and a joy to work with. He kicked off the evening with the sweetest tribute as he introduced the newlyweds, setting the perfect tone for the night. From there, he played nonstop and kept the dance floor packed the entire time—with guests of all ages dancing and having an absolute blast. Mike met with my daughter and her husband several times before the big day to make sure he understood their vision, and he absolutely delivered. Mike was the DJ for the wedding and he did an amazing job. His charismatic personality really showed through during his introductions and announcements. Our day had many locations with different needs in each spot and he handled it all with ease and professionalism. We were worried about the heat impacting the dance floor but Mike kept the energy up the entire time. We had so much fun dancing to every song. I’m so grateful we chose Mike for our big day.

We cannot say enough amazing things about our Mike our wedding DJ — he was truly phenomenal from start to finish. DJAxcess absolutely killed it at our wedding! We wanted a DJ and MC that had high energy and talent for our wedding, and he exceeded all expectations. He set up lights around the entire room, and had a setup with a screen which was really important to me. He also had a setup for the outside ceremony and mic’d up our officiant. He took care of literally everything, stayed on schedule, and his set was unbelievable. With the song suggestions we gave him he was able to curate an experience based on us and our guests, which truly takes so much talent. You won’t regret booking with Mike. Not only his talent but his personality sets him apart from any other DJ out there. We love him and hope to go see one of his shows around Cbus. Thank you so much Mike!!!!! We had Mike (DJ Axcess) as our DJ for our Columbus wedding and he did an awesome job! He is not what you think of when you hear wedding DJ - he actually DJs and made our reception a complete dance party. He had everyone out on the dance floor from start to finish, playing a super wide range of music that everyone enjoyed. He also has a super awesome setup that made the dance floor really light up. He also was super proactive and on top of planning ahead of the wedding and made sure he had all of the relevant information ahead of time. Highly recommend DJ Axcess for any event you are hosting!
DJ AXCESS had our dance floor packed from the very first song! We loved getting to know Mike and he took the time to get to know us personally. He made sure he understood our vision for the day and he delivered!!! The reception was a party and that was exactly what we wanted! I don’t even know if I can write this review without crying! I’m overwhelmed with joy by how well everything went from start to finish. DJ Axcess aka Mike is absolutely amazing! THIS is who you want for your wedding! I live in Denver, CO and had to have Mike at our wedding! The dance floor was full the whole night, from the ceremony to the last song. It was magical. I even threw in a surprise for my groom at the last minute and when I say last minute I mean midnight the night before lol and Mike made it happen better than I even imagined. I wish I could give more stars. I had the most amazing wedding and Mike was a huge part of that. DJ Axcess did a phenomenal job at the “Let me run “ 5k race this past weekend. He kept everyone informed and maintained a professional experience. Most importantly, the music play kept a huge positive vibe for all runners and on-lookers. Highly recommended!!
Mike and his crew were amazing! Mike was easy to work with in the planning stages and made some great suggestions to encourage our students to be involved and stay throughout our prom. He and his crew engaged with our students throughout the event. The CO2 cannon was a huge hit with our students and the lighting he added really helped pull all of our decorations together. This was the best prom we have ever had thanks to DJ Axcess.
DJ Axcess (Mike) was amazing to work with! He's a top notch professional His live mixing is seriously so good, I got so many compliments from guests and had the time of my life at my reception! Also his lighting, MC skills and all his equipment is top notch. Many guests raved about how they could hear everything at the wedding, when at previous weddings there was always sound issues. We wanted a nightclub/EDm vibe and he delivered, it felt like we were at a music festival. He's so talented and kept the energy high all night. He also made a special mix for me and my dad for our father daughter dance, it is a moment I will cherish forever and I am so grateful he put it together. Would recommend for any event or wedding! If you want your dance floor to be packed all night long, book DJ Axcess! From our initial meeting to the final song of the night, Mike was a dream to work with. All of our guests raved about the music. I had multiple people tell me that they couldn’t leave the dance floor because every single song was a banger. He was so great at reading the room, mixing in our requests and playing the right song at the right time. He was also an amazing emcee and brought the energy all night. My husband and I even changed our first dance song the day of the wedding and Mike was totally cool to roll with the changes. He’s so professional, personable and just the kind of person you want around on your wedding day. And we LOVED his setup! Will be recommending him to everyone I know.

He was referred by a close friend and I plan to have him at any future event I can now. One thing that stood out to me was his immediate responses and also his kind spirit. We were hosting a Holiday Party for our gym (JAM Training). Having DJ Axcess made the evening so much fun with the combination of a ton of different music genres. I believe it takes extreme talent to mix Creed, “Higher” into rap music and a few country bangers. So stop stressing and, book DJ Axcess for your event, you’ll be glad you did!

Review for DJ Axcess at the Grand Event Center, December 7, 2024 We had the pleasure of having an incredible DJ for our wedding at the Grand Event Center in Grandview Yards on December 7, 2024. From the pre-function happy hour to the wedding ceremony and the lively reception afterwards, the DJ did an outstanding job. The music selection was perfect for each part of the event. During the happy hour, the DJ set a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, seamlessly transitioning into the ceremony with the pre-selected music. The reception was where the DJ Axcess truly shined, keeping the dance floor busy and packed all night long with a fantastic variety of music that catered to all our guests. Everyone had a great time, especially the happy married husbands! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ to make our special day unforgettable. Highly recommend!
BEST. DJ. EVER. From start to finish Mike was amazing and guided us through everything! He is very attentive, sociable, great vibe, jovial and professional. We really liked his honesty when advising on things and his patience during our meetings. At the wedding he led the night with ease and read the room perfectly. You need DJ Axcess for your wedding. Mike was so easy to work with from the start of the wedding to day of. Our guests could not stop raving about how much they enjoyed our wedding music. Mike got literally every guest on our dance floor. Even those who directly told us they NEVER dance at weddings. He included so many personal touches too. Like my favorite, T Swift and even the groom’s, Future. He took requests like a pro and still covered all the songs the we wanted. In addition to music, Mike was a great MC and made the day flow smoothly. Thank you Mike for making our wedding, the wedding of the year!
Mike did an incredible job DJing my wedding this last weekend. He was so easy to work with and helped the day run smoothly. Wow - where do we start? If you’re here looking for an answer to whether you should book Mike, the answer is YES! Mike is an executor, nothing short of that. He delivered an excellent experience for our wedding day. He is a professional with astute public speaking skills and the ability to command a crowd. He is clear, assertive, and tons of fun. Everyone let us know they felt Mike was top-notch. Now for the music - we provided Mike with genres, artists, and certain songs we liked and he was able to curate the perfect mix of music for our cocktail hour and reception. He offered 3 meetings before the big day to better understand what we wanted and to get to know us better. Other small things we loved: Mike dresses for the occasion. He provides uplighting to transform your reception space. We wanted a slower-paced reception with a longer dinner and he delivered on the timeline. He also has the newest and coolest DJ tech/equipment. He truly is top-notch and wants to contribute to making your wedding day the best. 100/10 Experience. Thank you, Mike! One of the highlights of our wedding!! Mike ensured our wedding ran seamlessly from beginning to end - even helping up coordinate a private last dance and sparkler send off. He captured our song preferences perfectly, had awesome remixes of the classic songs usually played at weddings (based on what we were looking for), and made sure the night flowed smoothly. So many guests came up to us at the end of the night to compliment how amazing he was. I couldn’t recommend him more!
Mike absolutely KILLED it at our wedding. We truly are so grateful we found him. Everything we asked of him, he did with no questions asked. He was extremely helpful during the entire planning process. At the wedding no one was requesting any songs because everyone was in LOVE with every single song he was playing! From Rufus du Sol and Hot Since 82 to ABBA, Kaskade, and even some rap, he handles it all seamlessly. His setup is detailed, and he works closely with you to ensure timelines and details are managed perfectly, keeping the night running smoothly.
Mike was absolutely the MVP of our Cleveland wedding this summer. Music was the single most important thing to me for my wedding day and he took his job very seriously! My husband and I met with him several times throughout the wedding planning process and truly felt like he knew us very well heading into the day. We experienced extreme power outages across Northeast Ohio in the days leading up the the wedding (including our venue & hotel) and when I reached out to him, he remained not only calm, but positive he could throw our party no matter where or how it ended up! Thankfully the power came back on, but I have no doubt that Mike would have made it just as epic if it hadn't. We truly had the greatest night of our lives and more than once, I looked to the people dancing next to me and said "I feel like he is inside my head!" His MC skills were perfection, his attention to detail was unmatched and I could never say enough great things about him! 1000000% recommend him for ANYTHING!
Mike is incredible! He traveled to Cincinnati to be our DJ for our wedding and he was perfect! What sets Mike apart is how much time he invests BEFORE your event getting to know you and understanding your preferences and wishes for your experience working with him. He asks thoughtful and important questions so that he can plan ahead and be completely prepared for your event. On our wedding day, he showed up on time and kept things moving flawlessly. He was also great at reading the room and changing things up when guests needed a little nudge to the dance floor. 10/10 all around and would definitely recommend Mike for your DJ needs!
With over 15 years in the industry, I can confidently say that Mike is the best DJ in Columbus. Aside from his incredible creativity and skill mixing music, he's professional, well spoken and an all around great guy. It's a no brainer if you're looking for the best of the best.
If I could choose 10 stars, I would. After multiple interviews with wedding DJ's and me relaying to them what I was looking for, I finally had someone tell me "You need a club DJ". So I went in search for a DJ that could not only read the room and pick up on what's getting the crowd going, but also tune into what my husband and I were enjoying so he made sure we were having the best time. We had 3 or more prep meetings with Mike simply so he could learn more about us as a couple, what we liked vs. didn't like, the mood we wanted in the room and gave us pointers on what he believes works well and what doesn't, which made all the difference in the flow of our wedding. I truly wish I could relive this night over and over again because I never left the dancefloor and that is exactly what I wanted. We got married a month ago and we still have friends and family tell us how amazing Mike was; we've even given his information out to a few friends getting married next year. I can't wait to see Mike preform around Ohio, and hopefully at another party of mine in the future!
We had DJ AXCESS at our wedding in January and couldn't say enough about how great of an experience we had. Mike is incredible at his craft - he put our mind at ease with three thoughtful and thorough meetings leading up to our wedding where he asked about the types of music we wanted, what would get our entire guest list dancing, and if we had any special requests for the evening. Mike's music knowledge is so vast - he played some hits from the '70s and '80s that our parents loved, to mixing in "Buy You A Drank" from T-Pain, to an unforgettable song of "Levels" that got our entire wedding party jumping up and down in a circle, to a mixed version of "Love Story" that was the best closer. All we wanted was to put the music and entertainment into someone's hands that we trusted to allow us to be in the moment with our wedding guests. Mike did all of that and more for us. Just go with DJ AXCESS. He is the best of the best.
Mike DJ’d our wedding, and he was OUTSTANDING in so many ways. Prior to the wedding, he carefully asked about our musical tastes and examples of songs we really like. He incorporated these songs and tastes perfectly into our event and ensured that the soundtrack for our day was exactly what we wanted.
