My Favorite DJ Podcasts by DJ AXCESS

Hey! I’m Mike, I go by DJ AXCESS, and I’m a travel entertainer, MC and DJ coach based in Columbus, Ohio. One of the questions I get asked all the time by other DJs is how I continue to grow, stay sharp, and evolve beyond just showing up and playing music. One of the biggest tools in my personal and professional development has been podcasts.

Whether I’m driving to a gig, flying for a destination wedding, or resetting mentally between events, DJ podcasts keep me learning, inspired, and connected to the larger DJ community. Below are my favorite DJ podcasts, why I listen to them, and what I think each one does especially well.

Wedding Business Solutions with Alan Berg

If you want to improve the business side of DJing, especially in the wedding industry, this podcast belongs at the top of your list.

Alan Berg is a wedding industry consultant, professional speaker, and author who focuses on sales, marketing, and communication for event professionals. His podcast is concise, focused, and built around helping DJs and other wedding vendors book better clients and run stronger businesses.

What sets this show apart is its clarity. Episodes often zero in on a single concept such as pricing with confidence, improving consultations, handling objections, or understanding how clients make decisions. There is very little fluff, which makes it easy to apply what you hear almost immediately.

Best for: Wedding DJs, owner operators, and anyone looking to sharpen sales skills and business fundamentals.

Party With Strategy Podcast

Party With Strategy is hosted by DJ Strategy out of Chicago, and it feels like sitting in on a real conversation with a working DJ who understands the culture.

The podcast blends nightlife stories, industry conversations, guest interviews, and personal takes on what it means to be a DJ today. The tone is casual, honest, and entertaining, which makes it easy to listen to without feeling like you are being lectured.

I connect with this podcast because Strategy and I play similar types of gigs and come from comparable Midwest markets. We are often navigating the same types of rooms, clients, and crowds. That familiarity makes his perspective relatable and grounded.

Best for: Club DJs, open format DJs, and anyone who enjoys authentic conversations about DJ life and culture.

The Drew and Fuse Show

This is the DJ podcast I listen to the most.

The Drew and Fuse Show is hosted by Drew Pierce and Fuseamania, two working DJs with very different geographic perspectives. Fuse is based in Cincinnati, about two hours south of me, which means many of his experiences align closely with mine. Drew brings a West Coast and travel DJ perspective that adds contrast and a broader view of the industry.

The show covers DJ techniques, music trends, gear, software, travel stories, and real world experiences behind the decks. It feels like listening to two DJs who are actively doing the work and thinking critically about how the craft continues to evolve.

What I appreciate most is the balance between practical insight and honest opinion. This podcast consistently challenges how I think about DJing.

Best for: Working DJs who want practical insight, multiple perspectives, and conversations rooted in real experience.

My Favorite DJ Podcast with DJ Konflikt

This is my pick for the most enjoyable podcast on this list.

Hosted by DJ Konflikt out of Miami, My Favorite DJ focuses on thoughtful, high level conversations about DJ culture, music, and the long game of building a career. The discussions tend to be more cerebral and reflective, going beyond surface level talk.

Konflikt does a great job guiding conversations in a way that feels intentional and meaningful. This podcast often explores why DJs do what they do, how culture shapes music, and how creative identities evolve over time.

When I want something that inspires me creatively and mentally, this is the show I reach for.

Best for: DJs who enjoy deeper conversations about music, culture, and long term creative growth.

R.O.A.D. Podcast (Reflections of a DJ)

The R.O.A.D. Podcast was the first DJ podcast I truly fell in love with.

Hosted by DJs Crooked, Neva, and Jamie, this show delivers long form conversations about nightlife, career longevity, the realities of the music industry, and the personal side of being a DJ. The hosts have decades of experience, and that depth shows in both the questions they ask and the guests they bring on.

This podcast feels like sitting in on conversations that used to happen in record stores, green rooms, and late night after hours sessions. It is honest, seasoned, and grounded in real life experience.

Best for: DJs who value long form conversations, industry wisdom, and perspective from veterans who have seen the full arc of a DJ career.

Final Thoughts

Podcasts have played a major role in my growth as a DJ, MC, and entertainment coach. Each of these shows offers something different, whether that is business strategy, cultural insight, technical discussion, or creative inspiration.

If you are intentional about what you listen to, podcasts can sharpen your thinking, improve your confidence, and remind you that you are part of a much larger DJ community.

If you have a favorite DJ podcast I did not mention, I would love to hear about it. And if you are thinking about starting a podcast of your own, I am always happy to talk through format, gear, and strategy.
